Get a vehicle for hire driver’s licence

Complete the Vehicle for Hire/Limousine Driver’s Licence application and submit it to our Licensing staff.

You’ll also need to provide the following documents with your application:

Apply for a vehicle for hire owner’s licence

If you’d like to own a vehicle for hire or limousine, you need to apply for an owner’s licence. Complete the Vehicle for Hire/Limousine Owner’s Licence application and submit it to our Licensing staff.

You’ll need to provide the following documents with your application:

  • Business name – proof or registration
  • Vehicle ownership
  • Vehicle liability insurance (minimum $2 million)
  • Vehicle safety – Certificate of mechanical fitness
  • Completed vehicle inspection
  • Affiliated brokerage (if necessary)

Broker’s licence

A vehicle for hire or limousine broker accepts calls for a vehicle for hire or limousine service. If you’d like to become a broker, complete the Vehicle for Hire/Limousine Broker’s Licence application and submit it to our Licensing staff.

You’ll need to provide the following details along with your application:

  • Copy of business registration documents
  • Proof of Liability Insurance ($2M liability)
  • Proof of zoning compliance
  • Proof of/number of available off-street parking spaces
